New Place 01:53
It’s been a while since I just scraped by But I’ve got a new place in the works I’ve got a few of them behind me Collectors can’t find me I’ve lived with friends & Ive lived with jerks I’ve lived in automobiles Like apartment on wheels To tell you the truth it wasn’t that bad At least I did it when I was young At least I always had someone And now that I’m older It’s getting harder for me to trust Don’t say that I never told ya That looking back is what is what will cause you to rust I’m looking forward to tomorrow Everybody deals with sorrow You win some & some you lose It’s how you look at it & then what you do
2.
Nice to meet you, I'm a person just like you We both need to sleep & eat and theres the other things we cant help but wanna do These our vices, some are proud, some ashamed A word of advice, don't let anyone make you change BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY WE'VE ALL GOTTA GO IN SOME KIND OF WAY SOME AT THEIR OWN HANDS & OTHERS MISTAKES SOME WILL LOVE & SOME WILL HATE SO THERE'S ONE THING LEFT TO SAY IS THAT WE'RE ALL ONE PEOPLE & THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE THERE'S NO NORMAL PEOPLE BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE STRANGE WE'RE THE REGULAR PEOPLE Man asleep at home & a man asleep on the street Both men will die alone, why does just one deserve something to eat? Cause were selfish & we're greedy, its a shame For some life is hellish, for others speedy & for others a game Yeah I finally actually made it to 30 Would I like to see 30 more? Will the last 10 suck, should I not give a fuck or should I clean up & shoot for more?

Come Sweetly 02:13
Now that I know I can’t trust you How do I convince myself to let you stay All my life, I’ve been waiting, I’ve been waiting on you to change Then something sparked in me, deep inside Your love, it keeps me alive LOVE COME SWEETLY WONT YOU COME SWEETLY TO MY DOOR I PROMISED MYSELF I WOULDN'T LIVE WITH A LIAR SO DON'T YOU SAY A WORD Stuck in my head, things we said & all the "I'm sorry"s meant to make them right I don't know what to do, not sure if I'm through but I know for damn sure that I'm done with the fights So now the time has come for me to decide Lose you or lose my mind
4.
Going Gray 02:36
Feel a little queasy, you can barely see Find yourself frustrated by reckless teens Back is always achin', you're weak at the knees Can't help the fact that you're awfully mean WE'RE ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT BACK IN THE DAY DON'T FORGET THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T CHANGE THAT YOU'RE GOING GRAY BETTER REMEMBER NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY DON'T FORGET THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T CHANGE THAT YOU'RE GOING GRAY This thing called life has happened to me Things aren't the way that they used to be We do the things we do 'cause they need to get done To make rent, to make sure that tomorrow comes See the thing about life is, it don't come cheap
5.
Let's do this, lets use this to change the way they view this So when they judge it's just This ain't a maybe it's a must THERE MUST BE A WAY FOR US TO BREAK THROUGH ALL THE IGNORANCE & HATE THE KIDS THEY WATCH MAKE NO MISTAKE THE LIVES THEY LEAD ARE WHAT'S AT STAKE What's going on is just reaction to fear We must be strong but we must make it clear that no love is wrong as long as that love is real Don't tell you what to believe, don't tell us how to feel
6.
Dom came to America in 1959 Working on a farm way out on the island Knew he'd want to make it in his own way Heard about a spot out on Avenue J HE'S THE KING OF NEW YORK DON'T NEED NO KNIFE OR NO FORK SWEATY CROWN UPON HIS HEAD KEEPING ALL HIS PEOPLE FED NEVER TAKES A SIDE FOR YOU AN EQUAL SLICE OF THE PIE WHEN THEY SING THE PEOPLE SAY "LONG LIVE THE KING Y VIVA REY!" His responsibility is getting things done Feels like the world's on your shoulders when you're the only one And so consistency is key & so consistent is he The years fly by, the people wonder why he's not a retiree LONG LIVE THE KING VIVA REY! VIVA REY!
7.
Making decisions, biased mind & clouded vision I don't wanna live that way no more Keep my mind wide open, wait til the others have spoken Then they'll know for damn sure what I'm fighting for Relationships just like the waves washed all my hopes & trust away Nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all Now I'm working on me, won't be fixed by anybody And I know for damn sure who I'm fighting for Know for damn sure, what I'm fighting for
8.
Feeling Down 01:24
When you're feeling down, you know, it's all in your head Can't convince yourself just to get out of bed YOU JUST SEE HOW LOW HOW LOW CAN YOU GO? WHEN YOU'RE FEELING DOWN When you're feeling down & all you wanna do is die Can't pick yourself up if you don't even try
9.
Beginnings 02:18
A newborn is crying, old man passes away It's hard to keep trying when none of us get to stay "When one door closes another opens", they say When this night is over, tomorrow's another day WHO ARE WE KIDDING? LETS NOT PRETEND EVERY BEGINNING IS JUST PART OF AN END Sometimes it's all too much. You're left feeling drained Things onto which you clutch, is it done in vain? A positive outlook comes from dealing with pain When life leaves you shook, it helps keep you sane I wish I could help you, I wish I could help myself I just find me a good tune, to the heavens I belt!
10.
Searching at the station, I'm not sure where you were I saw your dress from afar. I thought "I'm sure that is her" We opened our hearts, let our feelings pour We shared our dreams, things worth fighting for ALL IT TAKES TO MAKE A PAIR, A COUPLE HOURS IN THE AIR WHEN I'M HERE & YOU'RE THERE PLEASE KNOW THAT I STILL CARE Smoking in the rain with the cats on the porch A break for my brain & the stress of New York Buses & trains make life feel like a chore I always come back still hungry for more It hurts to leave but we live different lives Together, be better is what we both strive (for) So goodbye for now, until next time when I can be yours & you can be mine
11.
Grateful 02:34
Older faces, newer places. Say we hate it Nothing new in the conversation Just days gone by & old fascinations Never finding a way to change it Just talking shit & always hating BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE CAUSE SOMEDAY IT'S JUST SOMETHING THAT YOU ONCE HAD BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU'VE GOT CAUSE SOMEDAY IT'S JUST SOMETHING THAT YOU'RE GONNA WANT When you're in it & you're left senseless Determined but bordering on relentless Then it ends & you feel helpless Walls are closing in & you feel defenseless Take a breath, take a good look around You might not be as alone as you thought that you had found
12.
We will be missed when we cease to exist Won't waste our time trying to paint between the lines You think we're weird? Well we think you're boring Telling your stories, leaving me snoring WE DON'T LIVE ALL THAT LONG DON'T TELL US WHAT WE'RE DOING'S WRONG So we will be missed, so please don't be pissed I'm being the me that I wanna be I wish you could see how that makes me so happy We crave to be strange, you say "Act your age" No I'm not gonna change, it's just the way that we were made
